not sure if i am correct but either the 117amp or the 137 or so.. somewhere aronnd that..

Does anybody know what is the deal with the blue spliced in wire on the alternater to battery charging lead? Is it some kind of fusable link? I was going to rewire it with one step up larger guage lead.

I cut the black heat shrink off at the splice and it appears just to be a crimped connection. For stereo reasons I am replacing the wire with 2 guage and a 150 amp in-line fuse just to be safe. Thanks for the amp output #'s.

ATTN!! Just checked on Alldata at work. On the wiring diagram for the 3.9/5.9 charging system, it does in fact show that blue spliced in wire as an fusable link. I would not & am not going to mess with it. Its there for a reason. Just to let everybody aware of it.
