 Subject: Hood Insulation , yes or no ????

I have a 2000 R/T and I keep the engine bay extreamly clean. I only drive about 10-15 miles on the weekends. I took the insulation off becase it was starting to get that faded/dirty look to it. question is if I dont put the insulation back on can this cause the hood warp or the paint to be ruined ???

No. Dakota Sport's don't come with it, and it is not an option, either. SLT's come with it, however.

Graphite nailed that one on the head.
In the efforts to cut down production & vehicle costs, the underhood insulation has been ditched. (Along with the ignition halo light, ash tray light, console light, hood light, and several other little things.)
At any rate, Nitro, you'll be safe without the insulation.
