Subject: Squeak in club cab panel IP: Logged
Message: I have this squeak in the driver side club cab panel for over a month now. It's gotten to the point where I can't take anymore of this. It's near the driver's seat belt mount or the quarter panel window, can't tell exactly. Has anyone had the same problem or know what it is? It comes and goes, it squeaks at all different times. It's a real pain in the ass, I have to drive with the radio cranked so I don't have to hear it.
Thanks in advance

Message: I'm assuming you're talking about one of the plastic trim panels squeaking and creaking up against something else around it. If so, I've had this problem in other vehicles I've owned. I solved it by isolating the location of the noise, removing the panel, and applying foam weather sealant strips to the back side of the panel anyplace where contact is likely with anything else. It may take some time and a little trial and error in trying to find the source of the noise, but it will pay off. The foam strips I'm talking about have tape on one side and come in rolls with a variety of widths. It isn't hard to do, and best of all, it's cheap.
