Subject: 318 TB question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 4x4 Dakota w/318, Cruise, A/C. On the front of my throttle body there is a line with rubber tubing over the end connecting to my TB. What the heck is this line for? The only other things attached to it are electrical conectors and those are no problem to remove, but should I be carefull of anything with this other line?

Line with rubber tubing...hmmmm....there's the MAP, TPS, and IAC connectors, then there's a plactic (or metal) tube with a rubber end on it next tot he MAP in the front. Is this what you're talking about?

Message: It is a vacuum line, it pulls off easily, no worries. You will have to crimp the plastic release tab to release the cruise control cable and rotate the butterflies to release the throttle cable.
I had mine off yesterday.
