Subject: Lug Size and jack Points IP: Logged
Message: I have to clean my rims tomorrow cause they look like total crap on the inside. I have an 01 Motorsports Edition Dak with the black rims, and the brake dust etc. is slowly building on the inside of the rim, and I wanna clean them. But, I dont feel like walking out to my truck to get the manual to locate the proper jack points and lug size. So, if anyones got them off hand, I would appreciate it! Thanks

Message: Use the lug wrench that came with your truck or it is on the universal jack. As for jack points, any spot on the frame works, no suspension cuz it won't do crap, and have your truck on a flat surface, no sloping driveways.

Message: The hell with the POS wrench that game with the truck, lol, I like my pnumatic tools! lol. Im all about the Impact! As for the frame, I know ANY spot would work, but I know there are spacific spots for jacking, im not one for just "jacking" anywhere.

Message:
For the front wheels I jack under the shock mount on the lower control arm. For the rear I center the floor jack on the rear axle and when it's up I use two jackstands under the axle.

Message: It amazes me how many people don't read their owner's manual. It tells you in black and white with diagrams where to jack yours truck up. I can understand if the manual is lost, but geez...

Message: I could read my manual, but it was late last night, and I really didnt feel like walking out to my truck in the rain to look at the damn thing. Just as easy to ask someone, then having to flip through pages.
