Has anyone else noticed that when buying "Performance" parts for the Dodge Engines... You can buy two Chevy/Ford/GMC/Honda.. Parts for every one Dodge/Mopar? And they harder to come by! Chevy 350.. $100. All day at any junk yard, Dodge 360.. Good luck!
Not to mention.. I've been looking for custom parts for my 96 Dakota, and can't find much.. And your going to tell me there's more of a following towards MAZDA!? Open up a "TRUCK'N" magazine and you can order custom parts for a Mazda, Toyota right there! I don't get it!!??
Sorry had to vent a little! :)

I totally agree Drew.

I have a '92 Dakota that I bought when I was 19 years old and now I'm 28. Ever since I've had the truck hardly any company has offered "custom" parts or performance parts, but when I did find something that I wanted...it was almost always twice the price!

I've always said that the GENI and the GENII are the "forgotten sport trucks" of that era. Since Dodge has released the GENIII aftermarket company has "embraced" the new line of Dakotas, so I went a bought a new one just to get in on the parts that I missed out on with my GENII.

***Thank goodness for Speedtweaks and KRC Performance for developing performance parts or we wouldn't have hardly anything to work with, or someone to look toward for information regarding the Magnum line of engines.

it seams to the aftermarket industry that dodge didn't build a Dakota before 1997! hell i can't even find a set of knerf bars for my 96. suprized the previouse owner found a bug deflector! I'm a little frustrated too!did find that 98 4x4 aluminum wheels fit my 96. just have to grind away about half of the caliper hose bolt to clear the inside edge of the wheel.still rubs the tierods on a full lock turn , but i can deal with that.at least now i got a set of 30x9.50"s

I am actually getting away cheaper. I had a 96 Camaro with the 3.8 V6 got it when I got out of high school, insurance rates would not allow for a V8 !!! The car was quick as hell by the time I was finished but the parts for that thing were outragious !! Only a few companies made parts for it and they would jack up the prices !
