Message: mothers recently came out with a product that can repair chips in paint, it uses your touch up paint, a solution of some kind and a squeegee type tool with cotton cloth. after applying the touch up paint, then putting solution on and rubbing with squeegee, you can fill and eliminate any chips in paint. my friend has it and says that after being used, chips are gone, and if you mess up you can take off the touchup paint, so my answer is lengnthy, but YES

Message: You have to use the touch up paint remover within a day or two or it will not work.

Message: Well "Dumb Ass" got one thing right, use laquer thinner to remove the old touch up (but for gods sake do not use a scotchbrite on your car). I know this may not sound like a good idea but trust me, I have been dooing "touch up" professionally here in Phoenix for about 8 years and I remove alot of bad touch up paint. get a soft cotton cloth and soak one end in laquer thinner. Rub lightly until the paint is gone. it may take a while but it should eventually come off. there may be a slight "burn" mark where you rubbed the paint but dont freak out cause it will usually polish out with a little megwiars polish (polish not wax) or if that wont work it will buff out with a little compound or finesse and a rotary buffer. for some reason the picture did not come up for me so if you want e-mail it to me at chucky2@cox.net so I can see the scratch and may be able to provide you with more help.
