Subject: Autolite question IP: Logged
Message: Today while shopping the friendly neighborhood
Wal-Mart, I picked up a set of 3923's. Then I noticed they also carried the Platinums in the 3923's. Just wondering if the Platinums are better than there regular plugs.
Thanks

Message: Platinum is just that Platinum, the tips are different but the plug lasts alot longer usually 45,000 from 30-35,000 for regular plugs. Just dont use Platinum on the 4.7 this is a no no, due to heat from coil on plug design.

Message: Autolites are not manufactured by Ford. They are owned by Honeywell.
The correct application for the 4.7 Dakota is the 5224 gapped at .040
