This is more of a agrevation than a problem. I have a '93Dakota and the seat belt buzzer does not go off untill I fasten it. The little seat belt light on the dash stays on all the time also.Any ideas? Would greatly appreciate anyone who can help me with this. Thanks, Jason

WELL YOU CAN FASTEN IT AND JUST SIT ON IT OR STUFF IT DOWN THE SEAT BEHIND YOU!

OR SOME OF THE OLDER CARS HAD SWITCHES UNDER THE SEAT THAT TELLS IT YOUR SITTING IN IT, FIND IT AND JUMPER IT

Thank you for that idea. (although i have already thought of that) I would rather fix it properly. I would like to keep this truck in good shape and have everything working properly. It's not just the buzzer either. The seatbelt light on the dash stays on too. (even if the belt is fastened)

On my '96, I just pulled the buzzer out from the board under the dash, then I just put the buzzer back in when I traded it. I did it just so that I could listen to the radio while working in my garage and have the door open at the same time. The only bad thing is that it didn't buzz when I left my lights on.

Well Jason is my brother-in-law and this is really an odd problem because it just started doing it. It will buzz all the time if the driver doesn't have his belt on and even when the belt is fastened it still has the fasten seatbelt light in the dash. I'm wondering if another sensor for the lights or something went bad. We would just rip the buzzer out but we'd like to fix it correctly.
Any input is appreciated.
