 Subject: IAT/Check Engine light

I have a 99 5.2 and I can turn the IAT adjuster on and off while the engine is running (did this by mistake)...I thought the check engine light was supposed to come on...does this mean that the adjuster is not working properly? thanks

I believe I read that it only puts on the warning light on a few trucks, so it was said not to do it just to keep the light from coming on in those few and causing general hysteria.
