I just bought a 2002 rc 4.7 dakota and would like to insure that I keep it. I live in a safe part of town, but would still like the extra comfort of knowing it's there (plus i'm lazy and want remote keyless entry). I was thinking of buying autolocs 2 DOOR LOCK KIT W/ ALARM (since i dont' have power locks currently) and wondered if anybody had any experience with the alarm???
I was looking to keep locks and alarm under 300 if that help. It's 75 dollar for power locks so if i didn't get the kit with alarm i'd have 225 left to spend on an alarm. I can install it probably.

Mine was $333 Power door locks TRC Xtreme Xs300 alarm w/ keyless and Starter kill Thats all I know about it. It works good and I like having the keyless

I swear by Clifford Alarms. My Trans Am and Formula had 'em. Never a problem. Get a proxy sensor too. The cost will be above $300 but well worth it.

I had a Crimestoppers alarm installed by someone the dealer recommended, One of the alarm features is that the door locks when the key is turned on, but this feature is flaky, sometimes they lock, sometimes they don't lock, the installer blames it in the fading interior light.

I buy a lot of stuff online but not an alarm Becuase its best to buy from a Dealer so you are backed up by the Warrenty. They did a real good job and so far it seems to work good.

ok a cheap resolve.
for 40 bucks you can get the auto lock.
it locks the brake pedal in the upwards form.
there is no way to move the truck at all and no way to get it off while it is locked.
and i believe auto accessory.com sells them.
