How in the heck do you remove the windshield wipers on a 97 dakota? The 15mm nut comes off but, the wiper doesnt budge.

Once you get the nut off you will need a small puller to catch onto the arm with right at the shaft. Dodge has a special tool for this but i've used a small puller that is used for breaking tie rod ends loose. It doesn't take much, try this leave the nut on a couple of turns and while pulling out on the wiper arm at the nut area tap the nut. It worked for me after I had gotten them loose the first time. Use a shop towel over everything so as not to mar the finish. By the way and I'm not bragging, after working for a independent shop for eight years I decided to change up and work for a Dodge dealer. I've really learned alot about my Dak since then."STILL CAN'T BEAT A DAKOTA"!!! If you ever need info drop me a line at djcavin@msn.com....

After yoy get the nut off take the palm of you hand and push down on the lower part of the arm and they will come right off pulled both today to replace the glass.

you can also grab the lower part of the wiper and wiggle it back and forth it will come off.. i took mine off awhile ago to paint the wiper arms white.. :) hope this helps if you cant get a puller or get it with the palm of your hands..

:( i don't have any nuts or bolts on mine, they just come off. the arm looks like a j-hook and there is a u-shaped piece latching to it.
