Message: I have the low profile cover from Saddleman (LeBra) www.saddleman.com/tonneaus/index.html.
It's been on my 2002 Dakota for about 3 months and appears to be holding up pretty well. Installation was fairly simple and cost is about $170. If you send me your email address I can forward you a picture.

Message: I just purchased and installed the Xtang Tuff Toneau III... I am very pleased. The cover fits very well and the tuff III has a channel lock mechanism, - NO SNAPS... I think this makes the lines very smooth... I looked at every brand I could find online and in parking lots of malls... For the money, I was most impressed with this one...
I did break one corner piece, and they sent a replacement the next day...

Message: DO NOT Order a checker pro CheckMate piece of shi!. I hate it to the death. Sorry Dark Dak, but if I were you I would send it back before I opened it. They call it a flush mount, but its a low profile. It sits on the bed rails and scratches the piss out of it. If you get the hinged model, the wind can blow it down and its such a piece of junk that it twists on the way down and the aluminum frame will hit the bed rail and chip the paint. I HATE IT! I even had the vinyl melt in the sun. It might seem like a good deal but its not. I am a mechanical engineer and have been working on cars since I was a kid. It took me forever to put that damn thing together. There are essentially 6 potential lengths you can make it. I measured the truck and put it correct and when I installed it it was too long, so I dropped down ONE notch and then it was too small! I had to rebuild the end 3 times and it is still not right, but at least it doesn't sit on my tailgate and scratch it up. I should have posted this sooner, but I am more concerned with perf on this site. Anyway.
