Message: take the bottom bolts out, removing the bolts, work your way up. leave the top 2 in but loosen it. get a gasket scrapper, and a rubber mallet works good, try and pry the cover off with the scrapper, sometimes bouncing the rubber mallet off the side of the cover will help brake the gasket loose. Once cover is off, take a look at the gears make sure there is no unusual wear. What also helps is if you spin the gears (turn the wheels) this helps to get any trapped gear oil. Once drained, (you can even take a lint free rag and wipe it dry) get the gasket and put the cover back on (without any fluid). After cover is on, use the fill plug to put the right amount of fluid in. that's it.
someone please correct me if I'm wrong, or if I missed something
