I have it installed on my truck and I think it's well made. Very solid and sturdy. I don't go offroad with my truck, but I can't imagine it'd be a problem. If you have a front skid plate, it wouldn't be a problem at all.

I've been using it for about a month now. I got the SD-1 part number. By the way, you don't need to use the tube that comes with it. I don't have a skid plate, so I took the tube off and carry the valve in my truck.

a valve "plug" replaces your regular oil plug then you connect this tube to it and it drains easily without making a big mess.

No, just a metal bushing. I've checked mine a few times since I installed it and it hasn't loosened up or leaked.
