I know this post will draw alot of criticism but I can't deny the facts. My previous vehicle was 1999 dodge dakota from time to time I would use slick -50 each time i used it I would notice an increase of 2-3 mpg increase in fuel efficiency.I now have a 2001 dodge dakota and had decided not to use slick-50 due to all negative stuff i have read .I like to experiment and I couldn't resist the temptation to try it one more time.I have had my 2001 10 months and always check fuel mileage at each fill up.I always average 18-19 mpg which isn't too bad for a V-6.I went on a road trip through the Smokey mountains this weekend alot of uphill climbs w/OD off part of the time and averaged 22mpg .I am still kinda skeptical about using it due to all the negative stuff about possible engine damage. It seems to me the only way slick -50 could increase fuel efficiency is by reducing friction which is exactly what it claims to do.
mopar_man is an idiot, an idiot, an idiot

Slick 50's advertised "special ingredient" is teflon. To plate teflon on a metal needs an absolutely clean, high temperature surface, in a vacuum. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the teflon in slick 50 actually plates the metal surface. In addition the Cf (Coefficient of friction) of Teflon is actually greater than the Cf of an Oil Film on Steel. Also, if the teflon did fill in 'craters' in the steel, than it would fill in the honing of the cylinder, and the oil would not seal the piston rings.
To quote the guy on South Park, "Teflon is BAD"
