Ok, it was windy as hell tonight here in the DFW area in Texas. Needless to say, a big gust of wind blew down a section of fence at work right on to my truck. The section of fence was the sliding door for the employee entrance/ dumpster. Well, the friggin door weighed like 400lbs, and took 5 people to move it off my truck. But the good news is that is only dented my hood a little and scratched the paint a bit. This truck is a tough mofo!! well, of to the body shop tomorrow to get an estimate.....

Sorry to hear that, Kris

Sounds like a good excuse to get a Shaker or Crowl hood now.

Well, the damage ain't that bad, it is just that it will take like another $500 to get it fixed..... I guess I could buy another from you Zen, I just need to find somewhere to get it painted for less than $500 bucks like this one cost....It is not that money is an issue, I I don't wanna end up paying another $1000 for a hood+paint....

Kris- I bought my hood for $340 (the steel Reflexxion one)(It was part of a group buy). I'm thinking I can get another for under $400 shipped. Don't hold me to that as I still need to check to get a firm price.
BUT!.....since you live up near/in Dallas you could just pick it up and save the shipping. There is a Reflexxion distributor up there. I'm not sure why it cost you so much to have it painted though.... I got mine done for $200 even. Of course it was in south Austin,,and probably a LITTLE BIT out of your way.
I'm checking on this hood for another guy in this forum....Rob?..(has a sweet white truck). Let me know.

Andy

Kris,
How come you've got to pay for the damage done by that door? Seems to me the building owner/tennent insurance should pay the whole cost. Wasn't your fault,...D

Mike,
There is no rule that life has got to be fair. At times, reality sucks!
It is how we deal with reality that determines our level of character.
That and if we buy Autolite Spark Plugs to keep Harlow happy and employed!!!,...D
