I have a 98 Dakota 4 by 4 CC. How much weight will fit in the bed of the truck??

Check your owner's manual to be sure, but the quick answer from the brochure is 953 kilos or 2100 pounds.

Depends on how far you go with it.
I had 2400 lbs of sand in my '93 4x2 the other day.
But I only hauled it about 8 miles to my house. Thought my front wheels were gonna come off the ground.

I have a 2002 4x4 and the manual shows 1450 max payload and this includes the weight of the occupants. Make sure you are still within the limitations of the axle weight capacities too. GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating I believe it's called). Look on your original window sticker too IF you have it.
