I posted here about a month ago asking questions about options on new r/t. well i finally picked her up this afternoon. traded in my 2000 eclipse for it and so far have no complaints other than for some reason, the passenger side door doesnt open from the inside. if i remember correctly, the security systems can be configured to open one or two doors depending on how many times you push the remote lock button. any one else have this problem, just trying to get some info before i take it in to the dealership.
anyways, i missed the cutoff date for ordering a 2002, but got lucky and found a silver one.
time to go upgrade...

You may won't to check and see if it has a child safety lock on the door. This will keep you from opening it if it does, then defeat it and things will be OK. If it doesn't then it's broke and needs to go back to the dealer to fix it under warranty.

So what did you actually get?

2002 Silver R/T, with bucket seats, fully loaded except i guess it was made before the tonneau covers were added to the list. but thats okay i want to get a hard cover anyway. it's got roughly the same performance as my old eclipse, but not for long. :)
i stomped some kid in a new celica gt (not gt-s though) with aftermarket exhaust, on my second drive in it. but i really am going to let the engine break in before i do anymore of that.

By the way, what octane does everyone run? The book recommends 87. However, my wifes Durango 5.9 recommends premium. What gives?
