Subject: ZAINO?!?!?! IP: Logged
Message: Hey folks, I ve been reading some posts and hearing how good zaino is, but I have a few questions
1) I know it makes your car shine like cray, but does it protect your car as good as carnuba wax or better?
2) If you get it on black trim, will it come right off? or are you going to have to get paint thinner and rub it off?
thanks!

Message: Easier to apply than most other waxes, it actually LIKES the heat and cures faster. Yes, it lasts considerably longer than Carnuba or Silicone based waxes/selants. Hell, you can do light clayings of your car and it wont strip the wax off, I've tried it and I can vouch for it.
It'll come RIGHT off if it gets on black trim.

Message: Also - for more info - do a Yahoo seach on "Zaino". you will find where a couple objective individuals did independent tests comparing Zaino to Meguire's, Zymol. etc. The Acura NSX test gave Zaino a hands down win. Check it out.

Zaino is badass. if you do it, definatly use the claybar! it works wonders.
when you wash your truck after using zaino, you barely have to dry it. the water just runs off the truck... even the tonneu!

Message: Nothing compares to the protection of Zaino. First of all Zaino has a SPF rating of 30+, carnuba's SPF is practically 0. That means that with Zaino your vehicle's paint will not fade.
The slick finish does make it easy to dry, but even more, right now it's love bug season where I live. With Zaino on the finish, the bugs wipe off easily, even ones baked on a couple of days. Bird do-do, wipes off.
Zaino also layers. Something carnuba doesn't do. With each coat the shine looks deeper and wetter. It lasts and lasts, at least 6 months. Carnuba washes off in a couple rains/washes.
I've had show cars for 20+ years and I've tried about every thing out there. About 3 years ago I tried Zaino. When I put the 1st coat on I wasn't that impressed. It went on easy, but the shine wasn't any better than many competitors. After 3 or 4 coats it kept looking better and better. Now the shine is truly superior to almost everything out there.
For protection of your paint, ease of application, and lasting shine Zaino is the best product I've found.

Message: exactley what it sounds like. Its a bar of clay. Mothers sells the kit. What you do is wash the car. SApray the lubricating spray that comes with the kit onto youyr truck. Then run the clay over it. It pulls all of the embedded dirt off of your paint. You can hear it working. When you dont hyear it anymore, u move onto the next area. great product

Message: Claybars are a MUST. This made such a huge difference on my truck, even brand new; it's worth every penny. I can't say much about their tyre dressing though, it was kind of mediocre in my opinion, but it's not silicone based -- which is good.
Know this though, a Zaino setup usually runs people around 100 bucks on average.
I was hoping to Zaino my truck this week, but it's SNOWING! WEEE!

Message: Go to the Zaino site under tips and tricks. It gives you the full low down. In general, if you have clearcoat, use Z-1, then Z-5 until all the scratches etc are out and it looks the way you like. Then finish with Z-2 but make sure to use the Z-6 spray gloss enhancer between all coats. So basically, buy the Z-1 (or new ZFX), Z-2, Z-5 and Z-6. Anything else is really your option but the aforementioned are the necessities.

Message: You don't even have to have Z5, but if you're going as far to order Zaino, you might as well be getting the whole setup. Why only do a small portion of it. I'm telling you, it's the clay bar w/ three coats in one day of Z5 and Z2 that'll make it a show car.

Message: Sounds too good to be true!
I ordered a double-batch yesterday for ~ $140
I had been using Meguire's Gold - but this is definitely the cream at the top
I don't enjoy the act of waxing so much - but there's nothing like seeing your reflection in it for 6 months at a time...
I should be a distributor - How hard would it be to sell the stuff - sitting in a lawn chair beside your shiny Dakota?
