If moog doesn't make them for dakotas after 1999, what is a good brand of ball joint to use for a 2000 sport cc 4x4?

Moog does make the ball joints now for the 4x2 and the 4x4 trucks. Dakota trucks some have early failure for some reason.. must be the offroading some guys do.I have 37 k on my 2k Dak and no probs but this is the 4x2,, my 02 has 7k miles, no probs yet it is a 4x4.

Jack the truck up off the ground and grab ahold of the tire. Some movement side to side is normal. However, if you can move the tire up and down more than a half an inch, your ball joints are bad.
Also, you can remove the tire from the truck and see the upper ball joint, if the rubber seal is torn or cracked, time to replace.
Factory ball joints were sealed....your replacements will have grease fittings....
I would personally recomend that you replace the lowers as well. Cheap investment as to what can happen when a ball joint breaks.
