Subject: What can I do??? IP: Logged
Message: -For anyone who can help-
I have a 99 Dodge Dakota Sport with a Magnum V6. It has been stock since I bought it except for a K&N filter and Flowmasters. I woulk like to do something within a decent price range to increase it's performance. The main thing that I would like to increase is the takeoffs. Once the RPM'S get on up there it has quite a bit more top end then bottom. What should I do? I have thought about hedders and a high performance computer chip. I cannot locate a computer chip. What kind of chip should I use to gain the most HP, where can I get it and how much HP will I gain. If I were to put hedders on it would I need to change any sensors or anything? Any tips any of you could give to me on increasing performance would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks-Seth

Message: skip the engine mods and invest in some gears. chances are you have the 3.55's. go get some 3.92's. probably the best thing you can do for torque.

Message: Average cost should be no more than $500-$600 with gears and labor (and warranty).

Message: 1). I switched over to the AMSOIL 0w-30 and all of
their other lubes.
2). Installed the +4 Bosch plugs and Bosch wires
3). Installed a pulley underdrive kit.
And I have noticed considerable gians in
horsepower with each stage of the process and I am
running the V-6 with 3.55 gears and stickshift.
