Subject: Air Temp affect idel speed???

Message:
Hi guys, This might be a dumb question for some
people on here, but i am still used to the old
carb'd engines and still learning the computerized
stuff. I am curious if the air temperature that
comes into the engine affects the idel speed??? I
have been noticing on these warmer days that my
idle speed goes lower than normal, like 100 rpm???
my truck(2000 dak, 4.7L v8) normally has been
running about 600 RPM at stop, but with 50degree
weather its been more around 500 or so. So any
info would help!! thanks. John.

Yep, air temp, air density (by manifold pressure), fuel temp, fuel pressure, engine temp, trans temp, etc, etc, etc.

Did you have the truck last summer and did it do the same thing?
