Holy crap Duner, I had no idea your truck was that fast. 12's are awesome man. I am seriously considering the turbo now. Could you post your list of mods? I don't think a blower could get my truck in the 12's. Hah, sweet.

Thanks Grady!

I'd have to go with Holy Schnike's. I'm glad I don't have the problem about worrying what I spend, my only problem is the funds. Now about the mods...Why are you running stock cams? Any reason? I have heard of turbo setups with single exhaust (Y) and sometimes 3", to keep back pressure for the turbo. For now I just want to bypass the 3rd cat and swap out the stock muffler for a Borla. Just temporary, but I am wavering between a 2.5' true dual setup or the 3" single as you have both with Hi-Flow cats of course. Also, what is the carrier bearing mod involve, I am assuming that is what I call a pillow block bearing? Thanks man.

Mods cost Double!

About the spending - my wife and I have an agreement. However much money I spend (that she finds out about), she gets to spend however she wants. So it's in my best interest to keep as much hidden as possible! hahaha Otherwise the end result is that all of my mods cost double!

I'm ordering a set of the HO cams.... I have been running the stock ones because that's all that's been available until recently.

I think I would go with the single 3" if I were you. I think a 2.5" true dual will be way too big for the 4.7. Going with the 3" hi-flow cat helps a bunch.

The carrier bearing/pillow block mod is just a matter of adding spacers around the rubber center mount to keep the bearing centered when under load. There was way too much movement with mine, and it caused horrendous wheel hop before I fixed it. Now with that mod and the addition of a couple of spring clamps - wheel hop is basically cured.

Yep, that will cost ya. I am always subject to the add or subtract from credit cards dilemma, still not a good one. Yes, the 3" single setup will be much cheaper and easier to do, but I think I was still going to keep the stock pipes in the Y where the cats are. Unless there is a way to get flanges to adapt to the headers I think it would be too much trouble. What are stock pipe sizes coming off the headers where the cats are? I know the main after the cats is 2.5" so I am assuming the Y pipe is 2.25". Does anyone make an aftermaket Y pipe? In my old car that was one of the main restrictions on the car so there were several sources for larger parts. Is the stock Y decent enough that I do not need to do any mods other than Hi-Flow cats? I think you mentioned a single 3" cat, would that be sufficient to pass emissions? Thanks I really appreciate it. HO Cams...Very Tempting.

How I would do it....

The stock Y pipes could certainly be improved upon. On my '00 - the stock pipe size was 2" on each side running into the 2.5" which ran to the stock cat. If I had a new one built, I would still stay with the 2" mandrel bent pipe per side and run them into a 3" collector to a 3" in and out cat and full 3" exhaust after that. I am gambling that the 3" cat will pass emissions on mine..... only time will tell.
