Subject: Need Input....Second Act IP: Logged
Message: I went to the shop today to have my truck lowered. and for $hits and giggles we put on these 22 inch rims. They are not totally installed, just set in place to see how they would look....
What do you think, should buy them?
I was thinking 20's in the front and 22's in the rear...

Message: HELL YES!!
Only one drawback, im sure they are really heavy, therefore slow. But I think with 500hp youll be fine. Tires aint cheap too after burnouts.
But it looks sweet

Message: Thats sharp looking... I like the R/T stripe too :0)
You know, if you put those on there, you're going to need to upgrade to Stillen Racing Discs in the rear, just for looks you know. :0)
Question: Is Centurytel in Texas any good? I had it in Michigan (one of a few cities that had it), and it -sucked-. The DSL was crap, the dialup was crap, and every day at 3pm, the phones died for an hour. :0/

Message: Hehe looks like I'm going to be the only guy to say, No! I don't like the wheels. For some reason I don't think they make the truck seem muscular despite what's under the hood. Is there a difference between a "sport truck" and a "muscle truck"? Seems more like a sport truck. But, whatever your preference is is what matters the most. I'm not sure any of that made sense. =)

Message: Uhhhh...Kris...so much for slicks. ;)
They look "nice" but the cost of the rims and tires is rather steep when it comes time for replacement (of the tire).

Message: Todd- Centurytel here is pretty decent. I have DSL with a static IP, so I am never disconnected....
Thanks for the input people....hehe
Bernd - I see your point. Replacement tires are $400 a piece...but hey....it's only money!! hehe j/k. I still have the slicks!! hehe
I am going to wait till around june before I decide on the wheels though. After I get back from adding the engine stuff, I am having a custom enclosure made for my subs, and a custom door panel for my speakers...Then after that....who knows.... hehe
I might buy the rims and use them only to show though, and not for daily driving...not sure though...hehe

Message: Naah, I'll back you up MightyDakSXT....the rims DO look good, but to be honest, considering you have an R/T, and that it's a 'muscle' truck, it's almost a little too much 'bling bling' for what you want. I'd say go with 20"s instead....but that is just my .02.
Current mods: A MUFFLER. That's it. (For now.) Future mods: Tonneau cover Underdrive pulleys Removal of clutch fan K&N FIPK 17" rims And much, much more...

Message: To be brutally honest, I don't like them. Granted, this is all personal taste, but I'd much rather settle for a smaller rim & larger sidewall. Not only will the rim & rubber be cheaper, but you are WAYYYYYYY less likely to damage a rim if you have more sidewall on a tire.
Proof in point: I had to stop by Discount Tire yesterday to have a hole patched in one of my tires. While I was there, someone pulled up in a pimped-out Samurai. Funny thing is that he was running 20'ish inch rims with tires that had about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 sidewalls. The one bolted to the rear hatch had a HUGE dent in the rim...obviously the purpose for his visit.
While in the store taking care of my business, I overheard him telling the serviceman something about hitting a speeed bump to fast!! If a speed bump did that, what the hell would happen if he accidentally clipped a curb, or ran over something in the road, or...or....?!?
