Hey dakotamites!
The Pyton Package costs $2500.00. yes it is
after market and is installed by the Dealer.
They assured me in would increase my Horses
by over 100 horses. The Dakota will arrive
in about 2-3 weeks and 4 days to install
the PYTON Package. When I pickup the Pickup
and test it for myself, if any good I will
give you Dakotamites the receipe. STAY TUNED!

With the mods listed in the "Python Kit", supplied only by that dealer, there's no way that is can produce 300HP. A 70HP gain from just a cold air kit with cold air induction and a cat-back exhaust is impossible. Pete in the parts department at Oyster Bay stated that they did not Dyno test the kit...they just based it on estimates from whan the advertised gains were for each part.
It may be a good lookin and HP increasing kit though (30-40HP Max at the crank) but see if you can take it to a local Dyno shop. Runs cost, on the average, about $50-$65. If your truck doesn't show more than 235HP at the rear wheels, it's not a 70HP increase. My close guess would be about 200-210HP at the rear wheels.

Bernd: They also add after market Mopar module. That is a couple of extra horsess. They are still liars. All dealers are!! But I can bet these trucks are around 300 h.p.+

They dyno at 180-190HP from the factory...that's at the rear wheels. No way they can hit 300HP without a lot of help. They can also only add the 2000 Mopar PCM...2001 models haven't been released.

I don't think the 2000 Mopar PCMs are relesed yet. Unless they went to Mike Leach to get a custom flash it has to be the stock computer

Hey Bernd: You are telling me I have a 2000 PCM not a 2001. Also I have the Python Package Air induction and all the other etc.... Do you think adding a TB will add some H.P?? Or better milage at the pump either one wouldnt hurt.

What i'm saying is that the 2000 PCM has been released from Mopar (Bob pointed this out as well - 2001 Mopar Performance Catalog: Page 51). The 2001 PCM's are not available and you can't swap PCM's easily.
The BETA Throttle Body showed a 12RWHP Gain with like mods (for about $2000 less).

I know the catalog has a part number. There has been a part number for a year now but they still haven't came out yet for the 4.7
