hey everyone, quick question, maintanance light comes on, so, me being my cheap and clever self, fix the problem myself. (doesnt matter what it is, im trying to get to the point). and magically the stupid light stays on. called the dealership, said they would be nice enough to charge me 50 bucks to turn it off. WHERE IS THE RESET BUTTON FOR THIS DAMN THING? i dont want it on all the time. its a 92 dakota, v6 an all. (gas mileage woo hoo) thanks guys.

If the problem is fixed you can shut off the MIL by resetting the PCM (disconnecting the battery).
However if the MIL was tripped for more than three start-ups, then it will take 50 start cycles for the MIL to be cleared from memory. Or at least that's how it is with Gen3 Dak's.
