Message: 96 3.6L w/auto. Tranny "whirrs" in overdrive. Stops if I hit the OD OFF switch. No noise in 1-2-3. Changed the filter and flushed. Shop wants $2K for an overall. Says my OD is shot, might as well do the whole thing since I've got 100K miles. Any help is appreciated.
