Subject: Aftermarket Ball Joints IP: Logged
Message: Does anybody make quality heavy duty greaseable A-arm ball joints for the Gen-3 yet? When it comes time to change mine I dont want to use the factory joints after my warranty is expired. I have been hearing the factory ones are junk. I see the factory ones are riveted to the A-arms. If aftermarket ones are available,do they use bolts in place of the factory rivets? Or do they come as a comlete A-arm-ball-joint assembly? Any help would be appreciated.

Message: They use bolts. At the garage we jsut cut the heads off the old rivets with a torch and punch em out and bolt the new one up. Not terribly hard but ya gotta be careful with the torch:)
