Where can I get this Robert Shaw thermostat? I called all the local parts places and they all had that blank look.....yes, it was obvious even over the phone!
Do I really need to spend $4 shipping on a $10 part?

I called AutoZone, NAPA, and Advance.....none of them carried Robert Shaw T-Stats. Is there anything special about that one specific brand or will any 180 degree stat do?

You want the Stant superstat# 65358 this is the 180. And it is stainless steel. well made T-stat.

So Bernd, which one is better, the Stant? You sell the Shaw model though right? I have yet to see a Stainless T-Stat maybe its just galvanized? Now about me being a test truck for a Vortech blower install...

The stock one you are to replace is galvanized, the superstat is stainless, i have one, and i use the Robert Shaw also in my other Dak, both seem equall. So i leave it to personnal choice.

Umm... Chrysler dealers carry Robertshaw, have for years. Yeah, it's more $$$, but they have it if you really want it. It's OEM.
