 Subject: idiling at 300-400 rpm

the last week or so my truck(95 dakota sport V6) has been idiling at 300 -400 rpm it hasen't stalled or anything but it throws a check engine light. I turn the truck off then back on and the check engine light is off it won't even let me get the code the last mod I did was adjusting the throttle kickdown cable about a week before this started

If your talkin about the TV (Throttle Valve) Cable then I'd suggest you take it back into the dealer and have em set it back to zero. Thats one mod I caught before it was too late...other dakota owners have f*cked up their trannies doin this. If you saw this mod off Speedtweaks I think they need to take that off the site cuz it may seem like a good and easy mod to do but in the long run your tranny won't run right.
