Okay now its starting to get a little warmer, and the spark know is getting sooo bad my truck was shaking today while I was trying to go up a hill!!! Is there anything I can do before I take this to the dealer? This darn truck is doing it in every gear almost ALL the time load or no load. I am using the correct gas and the PCM has NOT been flashed? Should I have them flash it?
I am about to trade this darn thing in. I loved this truck when I first got it, but now it seems gutless and strains just to maintain 55 on the freeway!!!

I wish, then I would know what the problem is... Nope its a 98 v6 3.9l.

Perhaps some Autolite 3923s and a radiator flush also? I guess if Im going to flush the radiator I should go ahead and change the tstat?

Does the local pep-boys carry the 180 tstat? What part number or brand should I ask for?

Dang, sounds more like it's missing than spark knock to me...

I'd probally try changing the plugs and running some fuel injector cleaner through it. If that doesn't do it, get it looked at immediatly. That bad of knocking could actually cause engine damage!

Sounds like you might have a bad belly pan gasket. It would cause all the symptoms you are having.
