Message: Anyone else use this combination and when you first installed them did you get a clinking or clunking noise from front brakes? I just installed the Powerslots and Raybestos Ceramics yesterday that I bought in a Group buy last December, wanted to wait for winter to be over so I would rust up my expensive new rotors right off the bat.
I noticed than when braking, not even really hard braking I can feel in the pedal and hear a clunking(not quite clunking but I cannot explain it otherwise) noise from what seems to be each pass of the powerslots grooves. I double checked to make sure the rotor marked right is on the passanger side, so I don't know if they just need to break-in or what?

Message: Anyone have any strange noises from their Powerslots even if you didn't use ceramic pads?

Message: My PowerSlots & Raybestos QS's made a slight "ticking" noise when new. And, it was only apparent at slow speeds. I couldn't hear/feel anything if I was slowing down from highway speeds, but if I was creeping up to a light, I could hear and even feel a tad bit of that in the pedal...may have just been my imagination. At any rate, after the first 100 miles or so, it went away. Now I cannot even tell that it was ever there.
Hope that helps.

Message: Thanks alot for the input Halo, I feel a little better now. I have the same pads as you and have about 60 miles on them now. I'll have to see if they quiet down some over the next week. I keep checking the rotors to make sure they look smooth and nothing is digging them up. $250 in front brakes on a new truck is pretty funny anyway, damn DC:)

Message: Thanks for the response CANTONDAK, I did follow the recommended break-in and the noise I was experiencing is starting to fade, I assume it should go away. I haven't tried any hard stops yet, but from what I can tell so far, the brakes are awesome compared to stock and no more vibration, she stops nice and smooth:)
