I can't comment on Duplicolor but I know from previous posts that you shouldn't waste your money. A spray in seems to work better, more durable. Rhinoliner is my choice. Worth the money.

I have the stock drop-in bedliner and I'm just looking for something to "rustproof" the bed under the liner. Think they work for that application?

From what I know, the drop-in bed liners will scratch and scuff up your bed over a period of time. The spray-on bedliners will seal and protect it. The people who spray the bedliners on will usually prep your bed for the process. Your best bet would be to go with the spray-on bedliner.

BUT... will the drop in liner still fit after I had Line-X spray one in? I thought the thickness of the spray-in might make the drop-in too tight. Anyone else do this?

Why are you wasting your time the boards space for such ridiculus things. No onw in there right mind would put a drop in liner over a spray in liner. Also don't waste your time on a colored one either. They don't maintain their color over time and if they need repairing you can't match the color perfectly. Go with the LINE-X or Rhino they are the best in the business and stay with the black one.

Randy, I am THE ONLY person that has yet to answer you that has actually used the Duplicolor bed liner. I you follow the instructions about lightly sanding the paint and cleaning everything according to the included instructions before applying the stuff IT WILL LAST a long time and NOT CHIP. I have hauled 9 loads of fire wood 2 off road 4x4 type 4 wheelers, 5 different motocross bikes, 60 sheets of drywall, 130 2x4's 50 2x10's, 3 snap-on tool carts, about 20 loads of junk to the dump, and all of my 2 older kids possesions to and from home and college over the last 4 years and one house full of furniture and personal possesions, and I have yet to chip any of the Duplicolor liner or wear through it. My next door neihbor did not follow the instructions and his is peeling like a banana.

I too plan on the liner spray in or do it yourself and then put a drop in liner in....the spray ins will not prevent dents like the drop ins do...this is investment protection so the idiot who was attacking a concerned owner.......go play in trafic or something
