Well, my spare tire got jacked from my truck... To say the least I am bummed... I guess all things considering, its a small loss, considering what could have been taken from my truck, but what it means is I need a new tire and wheel... My original goal was to buy a whole new set of wheels and tires, but then the tax man cometh, and wiped that idea out, so I can only afford the one wheel and tire for now. I found the tire for a good price, what I am looking for is a good price on a wheel... It doesnt have to be like the stock wheel, I mean it's just a spare, and (hopefully) wont be used all that much... Basically what I am looking for is an inexpensive rim that will fit the bolt pattern, and get the job done in case of a flat, thats all it has to do... It needs to fit my 265/70/R16 tire as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Did you notify your insurance company? Next time, lock your spare with a titanium chain...you can get them at Home Depot for like 15-25 bucks.

You dont even need a 16 inch, my spare is one of
my winter tyres. 235/75/15
i sold my origional rims and only bought 4 r/ts
and 4 snow tyres.

Just go to the local junk yard and pickup a matching spare for little of nothing. Ypu may want to invest in the spare tire lock from DC. This will at least keep an honest person honest. You may want to buy some wheel locks also.

Tough luck on the spare. My daughter bought a new Sunfire GT with real nice wheels and one night she came out of the show and some jerk had stolen one wheel off it. That wasn't enough though, he used the tire iron to beat the crap out of the car. Luckily she works for a dealership and they fixed everything up without going thru the insurance.

You can't get mine out without jacking up the rear of my truck, too low. LOL Pain in the a$$ if I ever need it. Putting the spare in the bed soon though...

Thanks for all the advice, I will check out my local junkyard... I was pretty stoked that the whoever took the tire didn't damage anything, just took the tire and took off I guess.. As for buying a lock, I knew about the lock, I actually went to the store to buy a lock one day, but they were out of them, and I never got around to buying one from another store... How's that for karma?
