Message: OK
Engine was idling very badly, then tripped a MIL P0132 Something about the O2 sensor, Took it to the dealer, they changed the O2 sensor everything was back to normal til i got home then when i parked same thing. went bach to dealer waited for it to do it in front of them amazingly it did. They have NO idea. Tomorrow they are going to put on a new IAT sensor. (they tried to blame it on the IAT adjuster, but i told them that if off it uses the stock readings, one of the tech has one and agreed) They said that when hooked up to the computer the mixture was going from too rich to too lean and back and forth thus causing the really ugly idle.
Are they correct is it the IAT, i got the same MIL P0132 on the way home. what else would effect the mixture like this? and why did the same mil trip with a fresh O2 sensor?
Please help

Message: The O2 sensor is supposed to switch back and forth. If it is switching then it isn't shorted to voltage and that is not your problem. I would pretty much have to be there to monitor 02 sensor voltage. I could be in the wiring. If it is reading a high voltage then it will stay in open loop not causing the rouph idle.

Message: Definitely sounds like a bad wire. The IAT has nothing to do with the O2 circuit.

Message: Ok the dealer "fixed it" four times. each time it would happen again in a matter of minutes after leaving the lot. They replaced O2 sensors as well as the IAT sensor and i think perhaps the IAC. Well after all that and two days of missing school can anybody guess the actual problem......Anyone
OK here it is O2 sensor FUSE thats right folks a 15 cent fuse caused me to spend the better part of two days at a dodge dealer that only had one R/T and no Viper to ogle
The high point of the day was that on the way home computer freshly flashed and relearning i SMOKED, i mean SMOKED a S-10 Extreme. It was my first actual Race/kill don't know if it was a 4.3L or a 4 banger and i don't care. there was a guy in a ram in the next lane he did'nt race but caught up later and checked to see if i had a V6/V8 badge pretty cool
