Message: does anyone know what kind of material is this made out of, i heard its made out of metal, isnt that bad? doesnt it make the air hot, which will defeat the purpose of an air intake?

Message: It's powder coated aluminum. It doesn't heat up fast and it cools down fast. I have one of there intakes for the 4.7L and am satisfied with it.

Message: true about the K&N filter, but isnt the KN made out of plastic which conducts less heat and will perform better than a metal tube?

Message: The K&N system is more expensive than the 360 and the difference might be 1h.p. Who knows. The difference won't be anything you'll notice either way

Message: 360AirIntakez recently upgraded the tubing they're using - I don't know the specifics of the metal, but he also powdercoats them (I watched him build mine). I have one of these intakes, and it performs great on my R/T. I don't have to worry about it melting/distorting in the Las Vegas summer heat, and I won't need to have it replaced every six months like the defective Mopar/K&N FIPK kits.

Message: People were having a problem with the intake tube cracking on the FIPK kits. Not sure if they solved the problem or not.
