Have 2001 quad cab with class IV towing package. Hitch is rated to tow max tg wt 350#, gtw 3500#, unless equiped with weight distribution, then jumps to max tg 750#, max gtw 6500#. I currently tow a camper with tg wt of 250# and gtw of 1800#. My question is - I want to get a reese hitch 4 bike towable carrier. My 4 bikes weigh less than 145#. The reese hitch specs out that it can tow 250# tg and 2500# with use of a 5000# receiver. Can my hitch and truck handle this job without going to a weight distributing system? Really don't want to go that route, and don't want to put bikes on camper. Thanks.
