Subject: 1988 Dakota LE...what to look for? IP: Logged
Message: I am going to go look at an 88 Dakota LE. It has the V6, 5 speed, and is 2wd. That is about all I know about it right now as far as specs.
It is owned by the grandfather of a friend of mine. The man is now disabled, and can no longer use a manual tranny, which is why he is selling this one. He has bought a new automatic truck.
It is a one owner truck, driven exclusively by this elderly gentleman, and has 66,000 miles.
So, now you know the story, is there anything particular that I should check on this model, year, engine, ect? I am familier with vehicle mechanics and all, so I know all the typical things to look for, but is there anything particular on the early Dodge Dakotas?
