Looked at my KN Gen II and it was cracked underneath the base where it contacts the throttlebody. Anybody come across this. I have had it for a 1 1/2 years. Will KN replace this? I have heard that the plastic used for the Gen II was weak and they will cover this. Anybody body have a contact name or how they went about this. Thanks

I had the same problem on my FIPK. However, I only had mine for a month or two before I noticed the cracking. K&N sent me a replacement air tube which is supposed to be better.
I haven't inspected it lately. I just received my M1. I'll look at my FIPK at the time of M1 install.
