The date for the Ohio DML Meet this year is....June 8th. It will be held at National Trail Raceway (http://www.nationaltrailraceway.com/) in Columbus. Many of you will probably be familiar with the location, as it is also the home of Mopar Nationals. The gates open at 10AM and we would like to meet at a location near the track between 9-9:30 AM. We will then all be able to make the short drive over together as a convoy of Dakota's.
We (thanks Eric) have setup a DML Ohio Mailing List that everyone who may be interested in attending should subscribe to.
Just send an email to: imailsrv@autoevolutions.com.
In the body of the message center:
subscribe dmlohio"Your_name"
It functions nearly identical to the DML List and is mainly how we will relay information about the meet.
Be sure to also check out http://go.to/ohiomeet It will be updated soon with all the details.
Last year this event attracted lots of nice Dakota's from several states and you can help make this year even better!!!

I live in Findlay about 1 1/2 from Columbus. Never been to this place though. May head down there, not sure what my work schedule will be though. I may send an e-mail to get on the mailing list.

I live in Dayton, but I'm still buying parts for the blower system. Can I bring the blown 91 Mustang convertible or the all-original 68 Camaro SS 396? grin,, Actually the Dakota is the only toy I think I can drive out of city limits and not be afraid of getting stranded.

Hate to have to tell you this but National Trail Raceway is CLOSED on June 8 for preparations for the Pontiac Excitement Nationals the following week. If in doubt, check http://www.nationaltrailraceway.com/schedule.html and/or call the General Manager, Jim Layton.
Why not get together this weekend at National Trail during the Chrysler Classic? http://www.chryslerclassic.com/columbusclassic/columbusclassic.html I and a number of other Dakotas will be there as well and would look forward to meeting everyone.

I am actually a little farther than you may think Kenneth. I am living in Indiana right now Sunday - Friday so I can work down here at my job in Indiana. So technically I am an Ohio resident even though I live there two days a week! I keep the same job I do during the school year (college) so I just stay here in the summer and work. But after reading this last post, I am not sure that this meet is going to happen! Hope it does!

Sounds like it is time to put our own Dakota meet together! Too bad I work in Indiana and aren't here in Ohio except briefly on Saturdays and half days on Sundays before heading back to work in Indiana. Over 900 miles a week in my Dakota, I love it!!!!

I would be interested. I can't guarentee anything with my hectic work schedule and college but keep me posted. Where is Lancaster? WHen I am at home I live in Findlay which is an hour south of Toledo right on I-75.

We could meet anywhere. We just need someone to take the reins and go with it? Hey Bill Lancaster is just southeast of Columbus, on US 33. It's considered central ohio, which would make it more conveinent to all since it;s in the middle of the state sortof. I know bluetwister doesn't live to far away from here either. MAybe a date should be tossed out and a popular "tourist" spot picked those who can show will and we can start from there?

Sept. 7th won't work for me just because it is Labor Day weekend I believe and I will be in Michigan. THe last week of August may work, who knows. Whatever you guys decide is fine, if I can't make it, I'll try for the next get-together!

Dak-five-oh, what part of town do you live in? I live in Kettering, about 3 blocks away from the cruise-in. Next week, I'll have the Dak out with Glen Renzoni decals plus some other stuff I cooked up myself. Still piecing together the supercharger setup.

Dak-five-oh,
There is a cruise-in every Friday night in Kettering off of Dorothy Lane. There is also a Wednesday night cruise-in at Hara Arena. The 3rd Sat of the month is a huge cruise-in in Germantown. And the 1st Sat of the month is the mega huge Springboro cruise-in.
