Some of the Durango folks have made the same complaints about their front reciever hitches. On the bright side, it should provide some additional protection to your lower fascia.

Holy cow!!! That's low as heck! If you wanted a portable winch mount you'd have to dig it out to use it. It must drop down from the mounting area between the frame rails. Doesn't look to be of much use to me, although it would protect your valence, JMO. bjlindsey thanks for sharing the pic with us.

Talk about drastically decreasing your approach angle:) That might be OK if you had a lift kit installed too.

The main target market for that is probably plow blades and people that suck at backing up trailers, which makes lower==better. For winches something that low would only be acceptable on a 6" lift

I contacted all the manufacturers about a month ago and none of them made one for a 3" body lift. One of them said you could probably drill new holes to make it work but they wouldn't guarantee the load qualities of it. I'll be custom building one for my truck after my lift is on. I'll be incourporating tow hooks and a skid plate.

I don't have the body lift, but the combination of the draw-tite FMR and the draw-tite hitch skid plate looks and fits great. Everything fits great just below the front fascia. The top edge of the skid plate just fits over the license plate, to protect it.
