Has anyone bought the fender flares in the silver metallic color? I know that you can purchase them from the dealer for about $250,but the dodge dealer here keeps telling me that they do not make them in that color and I could order them and then get them painted for $597.I really want these, I think they make the truck look much better but $597 for fender flares is crazy!

I bought mine in the silver from the dodge dealer.Last year they said silver wasn't available but it is now. Even when it wasn't available dodge said they'd paint them for $80.00 CDN

I have a '01 QC, with two tone, white over silver paint.
At first the parts monkey said they weren't available, then he said there were two part #'s for the same flares for my truck.
When they came in, they matched, and I installed them, they fit perfectly. I tried to order them with my truck from DC, but they only came in the R/T, and a 4x4, neither of which I have.
It now looks even better with the flares, factory paint and flares.I think I paid about $260.
the Dodge dealer here in houston.
01, QC, 4.7, 5 spd, 3.55, LSd, HOmebrew coldair intake, 180tstat, Ait adjuster, MObil 1, no belt fan(big improvement),
two tone paint, SLT int, infinity sound and CD, flares, Offspring CD a blaring

Can you get the flares painted to match? OR does anyone have any suggestions for good after market flares in black?

I've got an SXT and it came with the Graphite flares, bumper and grill. I'd like to get these painted Patriot Blue to match my truck. I would think they could easily be painted. I'll find out when I take them to the body shop to see how much.

Probably wouldn't be worth it.
They mount with 6 screws at the wheel lip and 3M tape on the fender. if you could get them off you would have to replace the tape.
They come from Dodge already painted if you get the 4pc kit

I wouldn't recommend trying to salvage them from a junkyard, DODGEZILLA. As DakotaDan stated, they have 3M tape securing them to the fender.
When I had my Quad Cab in for repairs following an accident, I checked in on it while the body & paint guy was stripping it down. Let's just say that he got the fender flare off, but that the paint & clear coat was all spider webbed by the time he got it off. So, while you'd save the money of buying a new one, you'd likely end up paying someone to strip, prep, and re-paint them...and still have to go through the hassle of replacing the old double-sided 3M tape.

I know this is an old post but I want to purchase fender flares from this site and I need to know the part number so I dont get the wrong colr flares. This is my truck:
Its a 2001 3.9. Can anyone tell me what they think the color of this would be. A silver or a bright metalic silver? Stupid question I know but this paint doesnt look like mine and its a bright silver metalic :
