Message: i bought this stuff called "back to black" made by mother's
worked very well for me...tried all that other stuff, and it "worked" but i could still see a faint white haze where the wax had been. this stuff seemed to deepen the color fairly well. i bought it at pep-boys

Message: The toothbrush works well, but what about on the windshield? I went through the carwash, and the hot wax covered it, now when i use the windshield washer or wipers, i get horrible visibility.

Message: Gasoline on a rough rag works.
After cleaning, be sure to wash and apply "Back to Black" type products.

Message: I have found that using Mequires Quick Detailer and a small detailers brush (toothbrush works the same, so find someone you don't like) spray the Quick Detailer on the plastic and scrub with th brush. For the windshield, take some rubbing alcohol and a rag and wipe. Also might want to try and put some alcohol in the washer fluid, helps with oil from road.

Message: GASOLINE??? Are you guys talking about black molding like on the GenIIs? I have been distraught many times in the last few months when while fueling my truck the auto-stop on the pump fails to stop and the gas spits out and runs down the side of the truck and across the molding and within minutes the molding starts to turn a grey to almost white and is never really the same, some tire gel will cover it up but in the end I'm afraid I'm either going to have to get rid of the molding or get some new molding.

Message: RE Cleaning windshields...
There is a product from the makers of Rain-X that removes all the gunk from your glass.
I am not referring to their plain "glass cleaner" ...
It is in a white bottle and usually sold next to Rain-X... I forget the name, but it does a great job of stripping all the builup from the glass...
