Message: My R/T has just regular lug nuts on it, but they are covered by a "hub" cap. The lug nuts are just plain old, open ended lug nuts.

Message: Hersbird, Those are the ones im talking about....
Had the truck serviced and they put them on way to tight, trying to remove them with a torque wrench and put them on to 100lbs and snapped the ratchet extender and crushed those gay little caps. I want some real solid 1 piece lugs thats all.

Message: just go to your local parts place and they can tell you whit size you need. Most people carry gorilla nuts. they work fine and I change my tires over at least tice a week with an impact. Plus the price isn't bad.

Message: if them lugnuts is "Solid Chrome" i would never buy them. Chrome is a hard but VERY BRITTLE metal that cracks very easily. one good hard bang on a rut and yer wheel will be out in a field somewhere. McGards are chrome plated. Says so right on the shrink wrapped card. However they are a heat treated alloy that makes them simular to grade 8. If they was solid chrome a whole set would cost about $800 US. Chrome aint cheap.

Message: Just go to your local tire shop. Tell them you want stainless steel lug nuts. If they are polished they look like chrome. If left plain they have a satin finish. They will never rust unless you take strong acid or alkili to them and then do not wash it off. I wont put a non SS nut on a vechile anymore. I hate rusty looking lug nuts!!!!
