 Subject: fog lite bulbs

Has anyone had their bulbs shatter?
I've had 4 bulds break. First drivers, then both,
now pass. There was a little water in the lamps
but I drilled a small hole in the back,bottom side
of the lamps..........no luck
Is this b/c of the water or electrical?

Oils from fingers, etc will cause the glass to shatter during operation. You should be careful to not handle the bulbs by the glass when you are installing them and hold them only by the plastic connector piece.

Thanks,,,,,but I never touch the glass,,,,guess I
need to spend some extra $ and get some better
bulbs.
This is costing me money...lol

Will- do you have the original factory fogs,,or aftermarket?
I ask because I have the crappy OEM ones that crack (the lenses), under normal operation/heat,,,allow moisture in,,,and burn the bulbs out. Really sux.
I'm thinking of having them replaced under warranty,,if they let me. Or maybe buying some aftermarket ones. Toooo dang expensive for lights!

Yea, I have the OEM ones and they're cracked(naturally). When it rains water gets in them when I drive,,thats why I drilled the small holes in them.
I guess I need to get some aftermarket fogs.
Could of got them by now after buying bulbs. lol
Oh I called the local dealer and they said they have never replaced fogs under warranty,,but I could bring it in to let them look at it...I told them "THANKS FOR NOTHING"
Last year they wouldn't change a radiator hose clamp that was broke,,b/c replacing the coolant wasn't covered by waranty (WTF $3 get real)I cut it off w/ dremel and put a real clamp on it.

I also am tired of replacing my foglamp bulbs, any links to aftermarket suppliers?could the water meke the bulb blow out?
