Subject: POS g-tech! what the hell?

Message:
well i decided to take out the g-tech and do some runs. i have heard of people putting it in the ash trey, so i decided to put it there.
i made sure it was reading zero, and i punched it.

my first run, i missed 3rd gear, but according to the g-tech, i ran a 15.1 @ 102.6 mph! i heard the g-tech was a little high on mph but this is rediculas.

the 2nd run i launched good, and nailed all shifts, and the run felt stronger than the 1st. the thing flashed a 16.02 @ 87mph! what the hell?!!

i just figured any more runs, i would just be wasting my time, and money (on tires), so i just went home

has anyone experienced this before? is my g-tech out of wack? what the hell

mine was always messing up when i just had it in the window, very inconsistent but not as bad as yours. once i put mine in the ash tray where it was mounted securily it was fine. when i first had problems out of mine i called them and they replaced it with no hassle at all. give them a call and try out a new one.

Yep,,,looks like the Tazzo VPC for me! Directly from the vendors they are the same price $139. I can get the GTech Pro (new) for $120 shipped,,but I'm going to order the Tazzo VPC tonight, and give it a shot.

I don't know anyone else that has one, so it will be interesting. I'm going to use it along w/my friends GTech side by side, and see who's more consistant. Maybe even take both down to Rivercity Race way, on test-and-tune night (Wed), to compare all three results.
Hope it's worth it.

They have proven in my truck at least, to be pretty good. About 2 tenths maybe 3. Probably 5 hours would be what they charge. If you are not in a hurry for cams wait a while and see what comes out. It may be alot better. These were pretty cheap though.

Lately,,I've rolled into a little cash. Can't help but spend it. Cams are preeeeeety tempting at the moment,,,especially at like $100. I've never done anything in the neighborhood on installion like that,,,so I'm afraid to find out how much it will cost.
Maybe I should pay off some of those student loans,,,hmmmmmmmmmm Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

I've never ran at River City,,,but I believe Wed. is test and tune night. ?
I'm thinking of rounding up a couple people to go one night. Gotta buddy w/'99 T.A.,,thinks he 'might' be in the HIGH 12's. I want to see some hard numbers.

Are you in the area Peter F.? What do you drive?
