Subject: Fiberglass Steps IP: Logged
Message: Anyone have fiberglass steps on their Dakota.
I can't decide between those and chrome nerf
bars. I think the steps look nice when they
are painted to match. Opinions? I was looking
at a set here:

Thanks for any replies.

Message: I'm waiting for my '01 Dakota Quad Cab and I was debating between the two also. I decided that I like the chrome nerfs but I wanted a set that hugged close to the body and didn't stick out too far. I came across Manik tube steps (www.manik.com)that I think look pretty sweet. I haven't ordered them yet but I am planning to once I get the truck.

I'm very happy with the factory molded running boards. I originally got them to help protect the sides of my Dak from road grit, but when I saw them on, I knew they were more than just utilitarian. They are rugged also and don't move/bow when I get on them to wash the roof. The only downside is they don't work with flares.
You can see what they look like at www.intense99dak.com/picsext.htm
