 Subject: Peeling Paint

My '01 SLT paint has started to peel in the
black area between the door window and the
rear side window. Shortly after I bought mine, I
saw a Dakota with this area entirely flaked off.
Anyone else experience this. What are my
warranty options before I call the dealership?

they should repaint it. my uncle's 94 ram started peeling about 2 years agao and the dealer repainted the whole truck, but only covered 1/2 the cost because the truck was 6 years old. on a 01 they should paint it for free

Mine is a '01 sport and the black is peeling also but on mine I think it is just a sticker type thing because it is intense blue underneath like the rest of the truck. I haven't taken it in yet to have the dealer look at it but it should be under warranty. I also have seen some other dakotas peeling in the same area.

the paint started peeling on my '92 a year or so ago and i was 200 miles past the paint warranty mileage....they basically told me to go F*** myself and would have to pay full to get it painted. oh well
