Message: What would be the best way to remove the DAKOTA and SLT badges. The decals were a piece of cake a credit card and WD-40. I'd like to save them, But something tells me that it's not going to be easy.

Message: Hopefully those badges aren't mounted on, with holes and pegs. I am not sure if it is though. But if they are not, then a heatgun and strong finger nails should do it or you can use 3M adhesive remover and a heatgun and your fingernails.... It is safe for clearcoats.

Message: Heatgun might be a little hot - but a hair dryer set to high works great on decals, probably work on the badges too.

Message: I bought a product call UN-DO at Autozone. It comes with a little plastic scraper and a clear fluid that loosens the glue. They came right off and the fluid help get rid of the glue residue quickly.

Message: I removed mine on both my Daks, i use a heat gun on low set, and warmed the letter or emblem one at a time now, just warm and took a plastic spatula and pushed to the side, and it slid off. just left some small amount of goo. I used.. I know, naughty me, gas on a rag, but it worked, then i washed it well, dried area, waxed, looks great.

Message: The Dodge badge on the hood and the V8/Magnum badges on the front fenders have holes behind them...found that out the hard way! The rest are just double sided tape to paint, no holes...... I have all of my decals off except for the aforementioned items. Also, if you have a Club Cab, if you have the black "strip" on your door sill that kind of "connects" the side to rear windows, that will also come off, so you can see base paint. I like it better off of there, it's just a cheap decal.

Message: I always take badges off my new vehicles.....the magnum emblems do have hole and pegs....best way to get the badges off...DENTAL FLOSS.......use a sawing action to "cut" the double sided tape and remove the badge then you can work the rest off with your favorite method be it alcohol or goof off
